Driving Innovation and Talent in the Food Industry: Our Commitment

At artica+i, we maintain a firm commitment to innovation, knowledge transfer, and the promotion of young talent in the food sector. With this purpose, we support academic and scientific initiatives that strengthen the connection between research and industry.

In line with this vocation, we sponsor three major academic and scientific initiatives: the 1st R&D&I Congress in the Food Industry at the Complutense University of Madrid, the 22nd edition of the Master’s Degree in Food Safety organized by the Official College of Veterinarians of Madrid (COLVEMA), and the Award of the Master’s in Food Engineering Applied to Health (SALINA) at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

These sponsorships are part of our collaboration strategy with the academic and scientific community, aimed at building stronger links between research and industry. At artica+i, we are convinced that innovation arises from shared knowledge and cooperation among institutions.

The R&D&I Congress in the Food Industry, held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid, serves as a meeting point for researchers, lecturers, students, and professionals from the agri-food sector, with the goal of promoting innovation and fostering university–industry collaboration.

The program includes scientific poster presentations, entrepreneurship projects, and educational innovation experiences developed in cooperation with the industry. Awards and recognitions are also presented to the most outstanding contributions.

artica+i’s participation in this congress reflects our conviction that such forums are essential for generating strategic collaborations and accelerating the transformation of the food industry.

The 22nd edition of the Master’s in Food Safety (MSA), organized by the Official College of Veterinarians of Madrid (COLVEMA), is a benchmark in specialized training within this field. With more than 870 hours of on-site classes and 330 hours of internships at top companies, the program ensures comprehensive preparation for future food safety professionals.

The master’s covers all key aspects of the food chain—from production and quality control to regulation, technology, risk management, and internationalization. It also includes visits to leading companies such as Mercamadrid, Grupo Pascual, Mercadona, and the Basque Culinary Center, offering students a direct insight into the industrial reality.

For artica+i, sponsoring this program represents an investment in talent and the future of the agri-food sector. Our expertise in process engineering, digitalization, and specialized consulting allows us to contribute a practical perspective focused on technological innovation and the real needs of companies.

The Master’s in Food Engineering Applied to Health (SALINA), offered by the ETSIAAB of the UPM in collaboration with INEF and ICE, is an innovative program that prepares professionals to tackle the challenges of management, research, and consulting in the food industry.

Within this program, the SALINA Award recognizes the best Master’s Theses. At artica+i, we are proud to serve as part of the jury, evaluating high-level academic and research projects. This participation reinforces our commitment to excellence in education and to developing solutions that enhance industrial processes, new food design, and the integration of nutrition and health into product development.

At artica+i, we believe in shared innovation

Collaboration with the academic and scientific community is a core part of artica+i’s identity. Through these initiatives, we strengthen our mission to build bridges between research and industry—convinced that innovation is grounded in shared knowledge and institutional cooperation.
