This is the new school of the Conceptionist Mothers in La Lastrilla (Segovia), with technical direction by artica+i.

At artica+i, we have supported the Conceptionist Mothers in a key project for the development of their educational model: the launch of their new school in La Lastrilla (Segovia). This academic year, modern and spacious facilities have been inaugurated, marking a milestone in the congregation’s growth and enabling the school to progressively reach 800 students by incorporating new educational stages from Early Childhood Education through Secondary Education.

In this project, artica+i has played a leading role, taking on the Site Management of the installations, as well as preparing the execution projects for natural gas, domestic cold water (DCW), domestic hot water (DHW), medium voltage, low voltage, and telecommunications systems. Our team was responsible for the technical definition, calculations, and sizing of the installations, in addition to coordinating with the other disciplines involved. We worked closely with the architecture firm Zimensa and supervised the proper execution of the works by the contractor Maragón.

The Conceptionist Mothers have begun this school year by opening the long-awaited facilities of their new school in La Lastrilla, a modern educational complex that marks a turning point in their growth. The relocation from the city of Segovia represents a milestone in their educational project, with the aim of progressively expanding the school community and incorporating a new Secondary class and the first cycle of Early Childhood Education.

At artica+i, we assumed responsibility for the development and technical supervision of the school’s main installations, supporting the project from its initial phases through to completion, always in coordination with the architecture firm Zimensa.

Greater capacity, improved facilities, and a vision for growth

The new Conceptionist school campus stands on a plot of more than 15,000 square meters. The school complex features modern and spacious facilities, with natural light in all classrooms, green areas, a library, laboratories, multipurpose rooms, a dining hall, and a covered sports pavilion.

In addition, the school includes, for the first time, an infirmary, dedicated parking for teaching staff, and a specific bus stop to facilitate student access.

Another major development within the project is the opening of a nursery for children aged 0 to 3, integrated within the overall campus and aligned with its educational model, allowing for educational continuity from early childhood through to Bachillerato (Sixth Form).

Building services engineering and site management

Our involvement covered the complete preparation of the execution projects for the natural gas, DCW, DHW, medium voltage, low voltage, and telecommunications installations. This work included the technical definition of the systems, the necessary calculations and sizing, and coordination with the other disciplines involved.

All of this was carried out in close collaboration with the architecture firm Zimensa, ensuring the optimal integration of each system within the building’s overall configuration.

Furthermore, artica+i formed part of the Site Management team for the installations, working jointly with Zimensa to ensure the proper execution of the works carried out by the contractor Maragón. Our responsibilities included technical supervision, monitoring of the execution, quality control, resolution of technical issues, and validation of construction solutions.

Thanks to this joint effort, the new school has opened with the highest guarantees of efficiency, safety, and reliability.
