The agri-food industry is preparing for a month full of events in March. The meat, wine, hospitality, food and beverage and animal production sectors are some of those preparing to hold their most important international trade fairs and congresses.

 

HOSPITALITY INNOVATION PLANET, Horeca Professional Expo

HIP – Horeca Professional Expo 2023 will be held from 6 to 8 March at IFEMA Madrid, and is expected to bring together more than 35,000 hospitality professionals in four pavilions, one more than in the last edition. This professional show will showcase innovation, trends, products and specific solutions to lead the new Horeca.

The next edition of HIP arrives under the slogan “Unlimited Passion” with the aim of highlighting the sector’s enthusiasm for creating comprehensive, unique and differentiating experiences that will result in significant investments in 2023.

In addition, the event will host the Hospitality 4.0 Congress, the largest congress on innovation and new Horeca concepts, where more than 600 international experts will present the trends that will impact the sector in 2023. More than 30 summits will be held in 9 auditoriums.

MEAT ATTRACTION 2023, Meat Industry Trade Fair

The meat industry’s leading trade fair will take place, once again, from 6 to 8 March at IFEMA Madrid, which organises this event together with ANICE. It is a source of business opportunities where the interests of all the agents involved in the production process cross, from slaughterhouses, cutting plants, processing industries, companies specialising in storage and transport, and marketing and distribution to the domestic and foreign markets, both in the retail and Horeca sectors.

Under the premises of marketing, innovation, quality and knowledge, Meat Attraction 2023 is presented as the main promotional tool for the meat industry with the aim of boosting international commercial activity and promoting training and interaction between professionals from the meat industry as a whole.

 

WORLD OLIVE OIL EXHIBITION, International Trade Fair for Olive Oil Professionals

A meeting point for olive oil producers and consumers from all over the world seeking to consolidate their business and open up new markets, it will take place in Madrid on 7 and 8 March.

Aimed mainly at mills, bottling companies, producers, buyers and marketers, this fair will bring together entities from 47 countries around the world. with the presence of entities from 47 countries.

NUTRACEUTICALS EUROPE – SUMMIT & EXPO

The Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB) will host, on 8 and 9 March, this international event dedicated to the functional ingredients, novel foods and end-product industry. Nutraceutical Europe will thus become the professional meeting point for producers, distributors and customers.  It is a forum designed for the presentation of new products, business development and the acquisition of new knowledge.

In addition, in parallel, the event offers two professional spaces of interest: Summit – Nutraceuticals Europe, which combines the analysis of trends, scientific innovation and training, through first-rate academic content, with speakers of the highest level and recognised international prestige; and Expo – Nutraceuticals Europe, the space where commercial contact will drive business development between the different profiles of the value chain.

 

PROWEIN 2023

ProWein is the world’s leading trade fair for wines and spirits, one of the industry’s largest gatherings for professionals from viticulture, production, trade and gastronomy.

ProWein is the world’s leading trade fair for wine and spirits for winegrowing, production, trade and gastronomy professionals. Each year, ProWein offers three concentrated business days and a top-class accompanying programme.

The 28th edition of ProWein will take place from 19 to 21 March in Düsseldorf (Germany) and, in addition to the world’s largest wine and spirits exhibition area, will include a craft beverage area, cocktail bar, tasting area, champagne lounge, oenology forum presented by experts and various side events and conferences.

 

IFE 2023 – International Food & Drink Exhibition

IFE is the UK’s largest and most important food and drink exhibition and the most direct link between its products and buyers, with activities such as

“Meet the Buyer program, Hosted Buyer program and Key Buyer initiative.

From 20-22 March, IFE, the International Food and Drink Event, will welcome 25,000 food and drink professionals who will come together to test new products, establish lasting business contacts and find the latest innovations from more than 1,500 international suppliers.

 

GLOBAL FOOD SYSTEMS

The INCYDE Foundation of the Spanish Chambers of Commerce, the Mediterranean Diet Foundation and the Triptolemos Foundation have joined forces to organise the World Summit ‘Global.es Food Systems’, to be held in the city of Barcelona on 22 and 23 March 2023, in hybrid format and with the representation of more than 25 countries.

At this event, international experts will address the most relevant and critical issues for the present and future of the food industry, with the aim of promoting positive and transformative dynamics for the future of the food system.

 

FIGAN, FIMA GANADERA 2023

The Zaragoza Trade Fair will be the venue for the 16th edition of the International Fair for Animal Production, to be held from 28 to 31 March 2023. This is an exhibition where livestock industry professionals will meet to find out about the latest technical and technological developments in the sector, exchange knowledge and generate new business opportunities. Those attending Fima Ganadera will be able to access the latest in livestock health, feed, equipment and facilities, among many other proposals.

This year, the fair’s organising committee expects to have around 40 breeds of livestock and around 1,000 head of cattle, sheep, goats and horses from more than 100 different livestock farms, which will be located in Hall 7.

 

IBEROVINAC

In its 22nd edition, which will take place from 29 to 31 March 2023, Iberovinac will consolidate the culture of wine and olives as agri-food products that cut across gastronomy, culture and tourism.

Iberovinac has established itself as a meeting point for the wine, oil and olive sectors in Extremadura, bringing together private companies, professionals, national buyers, public bodies and institutions.

The event also aims to reinforce the Almendralejo Ciudad del Cava brand, the Ribera del Guadiana D.O., the Ribera del Guadiana wine and cava route and the local wines of Extremadura.
