CDTI publishes the 2021 call of the NEOTEC Program
From May 17th 2021 until July 8th 2021, the deadline for submitting applications for aid for new business projects for innovative companies (NEOTEC Program) of the Centre for Industrial Development (CDTI) will remain open.
This grant is aimed at small innovative companies, set up no more than three years prior to the deadline for submitting applications (8 July 2021), with a minimum share capital, or share capital plus issue or assumption premium, of 20,000 euros, fully paid up, and fully registered in the corresponding register prior to the submission of the application.
In this way, NEOTEC will finance the start-up of new business projects that require the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity and whose business strategy is based on the development of technology.
The beneficiary companies will receive grants of up to 70% of the budget, with a maximum amount of €250,000 per beneficiary. In addition, as a novelty in this 2021 call, the incorporation of people with a doctorate degree in the company to strengthen its capacity for absorption and generation of knowledge is prioritized. In this way, the funding granted could reach 85% of the eligible budget, with a maximum grant amount of €325,000 per beneficiary.
The main evaluation criteria include: the assessment of the project’s commercial exploitation plan, the assessment of the technology and innovation proposed by the project, including its intellectual and industrial property management plan, the management capacity of the entrepreneurial team involved in the project and, finally, the socio-economic and environmental impact of the initiative, prioritizing criteria of gender equality, social inclusion and sustainability.
