ICEX launches the Innova Invest Programme
As part of the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, ICEX has launched the Innova Invest Programme, which aims to promote R&D activities in Spain by companies with at least 50% foreign capital, so that they are integrated into the national productive and research fabric.
This aid has a 5 million euros budget for the next year and will finance projects to be developed during 2022 and the first half of 2023.
The beneficiaries of this aid will be able to obtain up to €800,000, although the percentage of support in each case will be determined according to the size of the company and the type of project, prioritising industrial research over experimental development, especially in the case of small companies.
The minimum budget per project will be €500,000. Some of the main eligible expenses are personnel costs, depreciation of equipment, depreciation of buildings, materials, contractual research, knowledge and patents, or overheads.
The deadline for applications is now open and will remain available until 24 January 2022.
