Main food fairs in September and October
With the return of summer, the agri-food sector resumes its activity with the months of September and October packed with trade fairs, congresses and other international events.
Major European cities such as Paris, Oporto and Madrid will be hosting some of the key meetings over the coming weeks so that professionals from all over the world can create synergies and tackle the major challenges facing the food industry in the medium term.
WORLDFOOD ISTANBUL 2022
Turkey’s most successful food and beverage trade fair takes place between 1 and 4 September 2022. It is an event that annually attracts more than 360 food producers who converge in Istanbul to meet, negotiate and transact with buyers from Turkey’s food industry.
WorldFood Istanbul has thus become the international meeting point of the Turkish food industry, bringing together the latest food and beverage processing technologies with the participation of more than 1,000 food industry brands.

DRINKTEC
From 12 to 16 September 2022, Munich will be the meeting point for the beverage and liquid food industry, bringing together industry decision-makers and solution providers.

Manufacturers of ingredients and process technology will be a source of inspiration with their innovations in the field of sugar reduction and sugar substitutes as well as plant-based functional components.

SMART AGRIFOOD SUMMIT
The Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre will once again host the fifth edition of the Startup Europe Smart Agrifood Summit, an international forum that has become a benchmark meeting point for the digital transformation of the agrifood industry.
The Smart Agrifood Summit is consolidating its international standing by attracting participants from China and Duabi, among others. In addition, the main new features of the next edition include a forum on the blue economy (health of the seas, fishing and aquaculture), the participation of major technology companies such as Telefónica and Indra and a programme of complementary activities of interest to professionals in the agri-food industry.

CONXEMAR 2022
The Spanish Association of Wholesalers, Importers, Processors and Exporters of Fishery and Aquaculture Products will meet at its annual congress.
The International Frozen Seafood Products Fair (Conxemar) is a benchmark event in Europe and serves as a meeting point for the entire processing sector: wholesalers, importers, exporters, processors, manufacturers, distributors, refrigerators, machinery, auxiliary industry (refrigeration, packaging, plastics, etc.).
It is one of the four most important events in the world with an exhibition area of 37,000 m2 which brings together professionals from the Fishing, Beverages, Frozen Food, Food Technology and Food sectors.

FRUIT ATTRACTION 2022
The International Fruit and Vegetable Trade Fair will present the main innovations and trends in the fruit and vegetable industry at IFEMA from 4 to 6 October 2022.
