INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGICAL COOPERATION IN R&D&I AS A TOOL FOR BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS. PUBLICISING THE 2020 CALL PLAN

PUBLICISING THE 2020 CALL PLAN

The current competitiveness of Spanish companies depends on internationalisation and the development of planned R&D&I activities as the main strategic pillars for introducing new products and services adapted to the needs of different markets.

R&D&I projects in international technological cooperation represent an important opportunity for Spanish companies that wish to collaborate with entities from third countries (public or private), and can represent an advantageous strategy for achieving objectives that an entity on its own would not be able to achieve.

This competitive advantage in the framework of international R&D&I cooperation translates into concrete benefits, such as access to information and new knowledge, identification of new needs in different markets, technology transfer, opening of new markets, sharing of risks and efforts to tackle far-reaching initiatives, improvement of the company’s image as a promoter of international projects or privileged financing, among others.

The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), within the framework of the established international technological collaboration agreements, has recently presented the Advance of the 2020 Annual Call Plan, which will be led by its External Technological Action Department, with the aim of promoting the development of business R&D projects in cooperation with international entities.
