FEV and artica+i join forces to support the application of NGEU funds in the national wine sector
Although the ties between the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) and Artica Ingeniería e Innovación (artica+i) have been close for more than a decade, last May both entities took a further step in this direction with the signing of a collaboration agreement whose objective is to support the implementation of the European Recovery Instrument NGEU 2020-2026 in the national wine sector.
In this way, the most representative private organisation of the Spanish winemaking sector and one of the most experienced engineering services and innovation consultancy companies in the wine sector will work hand in hand so that the sector can prepare itself to successfully face and make the most of the arrival of these funds that will contribute to its economic recovery after the health crisis caused by Covid-19.
The FEV is highly recognised outside our borders, representing the wine sector in the corresponding consultative bodies of the European Union and in the OIV’s expert groups, as well as forming part of the Comité Européen del Entrerprises Vins (CEEV), the European reference association for the international wine sector. For its part, artica+i has great expertise in the management and attraction of financial resources for large public-private collaborative projects. Aspects that make this a key alliance for the wine industry.
Taking as a starting point the Manifestations of Interest (MOI) presented by the FEV to the corresponding ministerial departments between December 2020 and March 2021, both organisations are now launching a joint action plan to identify and support strategic projects for the sector, based on the detection of scientific-technological needs and the evaluation of the major challenges facing the wine industry, with a special focus on aspects of sustainability and digitisation.
