
Main events for the food industry this March
Continuing the trend towards the recovery of trade fairs, congresses and face-to-face meetings, the month of March is packed with essential events for the international food industry. Meat Attraction is shaping up to be one of the must-attend events, but there are more. Sectors such as the wine, olive oil and food safety sectors are also marking their key dates in red in the March calendar.
MEAT ATTRACTION 2022

HOSPITALITY INNOVATION PLANET
ExpoHIP is Europe’s largest innovation congress for the Horeca sector. Under the slogan “Ready? A new Horeca is coming”, HIP will focus on the need to innovate in order to boost the recovery of the hospitality industry through the latest solutions, trends and business concepts, in order to discover the keys to the new Horeca.
IFEMA Madrid will allocate three pavilions to host more than 25,000 professionals and managers from the sector over three days. In total, more than 40,000 m2 to give a voice to more than 500 exhibitor brands that will present their latest solutions in food and beverages, wine and spirits, equipment, interior design and furniture, technology, new concepts and franchises, delivery and Food as a Service, health and safety, and health and social care for any segment of the Horeca industry: catering, accommodation, bars and cafeterias, distribution, collectivities, organised catering and leisure.

WORLD OLIVE OIL EXHIBITION
Olive oil sector professionals from all over the world will meet on 8 and 9 March at the ninth edition of the World Olive Oil Exhibition (WOOE). This is the only 100% business meeting specialising in the international olive oil sector, bringing together professional olive oil producers and consumers from all over the world who are looking to consolidate their business and open up new markets.
This edition will focus on the three crucial keys for the sector: business, sustainability and knowledge, offering attendees an interesting parallel programme of thematic panels and round tables that will address such crucial and topical issues as the fundamental role of the olive grove as the most powerful CO2 fixer in existence.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD & DRINK EVENT
IFE 2022 will bring together more than 30,000 professionals at the UK’s largest food and drink industry event to showcase the most innovative food products related to health and wellness, food and wholesale, chilled and frozen foods, vegan and plant-based products, beverages, bakery, snacks and confectionery.
In addition, the fair will offer a parallel conference programme with the participation of more than 70 experts and interesting activities such as “Meet the Buyer program”, “Hosted Buyer program” and “Key Buyer initiative”.

AGROVID AND SIEB 2022
From 22 to 24 March, the Valladolid Trade Fair will host the Vine Cultivation Trade Fair (AGROVID) and the Iberian Winery Equipment Show (SIEB), two separate events whose contents complement each other and allow vine cultivation and winemaking professionals to obtain a global vision of the latest developments and trends in the market.
The profile of the exhibitors includes both large multinationals and family businesses dedicated to the manufacture of goods for vine growing, which occupy 8,000 and 3,000 square metres of exhibition space at AGROVID and SIEB, respectively.
The commercial exhibition is complemented by a programme of conferences with the participation of experts from fields such as research, business, professional agricultural organisations, etc. AGROVID will also have a special area dedicated to technology, called Agrotecnológica, sponsored by the Agricultural Technology Institute of the Castilla y León Regional Government.

GLOBAL FOOD SAFETY CONFERENCE
GFSI is an annual industry meeting to promote food safety at a global level, which is held annually and its location is itinerant.
After two years, GFSI will be held in Barcelona from 29 to 31 March 2022. The event will bring together more than 900 experts and business leaders from over 50 countries to discuss joint global food safety challenges, focusing on urgent measures to meet the needs of a growing world population and address critical challenges in global food safety chains.
In addition, the event will focus on advancing food safety best practices, fostering public-private partnerships, building trust and transparency with consumers and showcasing key innovations and technologies that will shape the future of food safety.
