Goal: It is a consortium business project of experimental development that aims to produce new brandis through the introduction of technological innovations in the management of the vineyard, in the oenological processes, in the distillation and in the final aging of the product in wood.

Leader: Bodega González Byass Jerez

Partners: Bodega González Byass Jerez, Bodega Las Copas, Bodegas Fundador y Agrovin.

Collaborating entities: Universidad de Cádiz, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Instituto Tecnológico del Embalaje, Transporte y Logística (ITENE), Instituto de Investigación y Formación Agraria y Pesquera-IFAPA y el Centro de Edafología y Biología Aplicada del Segura CEBAS-CSIC.

Budget: 2.549.730 euros

European Union Financing: 1.055.142,30 euros

Co-financing percentage: 41,38%

“Innovation in brandy production processes to obtain new aromatic profiles”.

BESTBRANDY is a consortium project of experimental development that aims to produce new brandies by introducing technological innovations in the vineyard management, in the oenological processes and in the final aging of the product in wood. All this, in order to obtain a different spirit drink, with new aromatic profiles that allow to attend the increasing demand of the international consumers of this type of drinks.
